Quick report

The snow is good on south facing slopes! Lots of smooth snow, and with an overnight refreeze the corn is good mid day. A clear-ish night is enough to refreeze the snow. On Tuesday 5/27 I skied the south face of south Yuyanq’ Ch’ex and on Wednesday 5/28 I skied the south face of south Powerline and a southwest facing line from the ridge of Hope Mountain. These two days were the best corn of my season. Snow in Falls Creek starts around 1700’ and intermittent snow starts on the rabbit lake trail about 1 mile in. I walked to and from Rabbit Lake in running shoes with just a little bit of mud and post holing, it was mostly dry trail and supportable snow. The south facing lines in Rabbit Creek are not continuous until you get all the way back towards the lake, but you could ski most of the way down from Ptarmigan Point with a couple dismounts if you wanted.
