Snowpack
At lower elevations, snow surface showing effects of sunshine and warmer temps. Consisted mainly of a thin melt/freeze crust of variable supportability and a cap of fine surface hoar (pic). The breakable crust made for challenging downhill skiing. Higher elevations consisted mostly of windboard (pic). Did a pit on the N aspect and on the east end of the Wind Tunnel historic slide path at 2467ft (attached). Got ECTP25@30cm with snow column collapsing on a layer of buried surface hoar? overlying a M/F crust.
