Quick report
Seemingly little surface melting throughout the day, although there were many rollers by the time of our descent, which was around 1430. No other signs of instability.

Party of 2. Decent at 1430. Approximately 8 inches of new snow. Southeast aspect, Skier triggered, approximately 20 to 30 feet wide avalanche path. Not a full wet loose slide, rather in between dry and wet. Relatively slow moving but enough to catch a Skier off balance and carry over potential hazards. There was a very shallow slough path to the east made by a snowboarder before our decent that appeared inconsequential for a skier. We assumed that our descent would be about the same, but we skied down later in the day when the snow was likely wetter and heavier. My first initial turn on the steeper terrain is what initially set the snow off. Also worth noting was I was occasionally getting town to the hard crust layer beneath the new snow, so that may have been a low friction surface for the snow to slide on. Be careful out there!
