- Red Flags Comment
-
Lots of wind loading and natural avalanches d1-d2 along the skyline trail. Rain/ice crust about 40cm down is creating a vapor barrier promoting rapid development of large facets which are continuing to grow beneath, as well as providing a 'great' bed surface for new snow to slide on.

Snowpack
- Instability Comment
-
Definitely a lurking loaded gun. Snowpack structure is touchy and avalanches will be large and destructive if triggered.

Lots of loading and obvious signs of instability from the winds during the last storm.

Snow surface conditions ranged from small surface hoar to wind scoured terrain, and wind loaded terrain. ski conditions were surprisingly decent.
