Quick report
I travelled mostly on aspects with easterly components, staying on low angle slopes (because that's where the snow was). In general, the snowpack is shallow and weak however E and NE aspects are littered with intermittent small, shallow wind slabs. ESE and SE aspects are transitional with few wind slabs. Above 10k', this transitional proto-corn was consistent enough to link turns. Below 10k' on these aspects, some very new and poorly organized corn was observed but the ratio of snow to sage was not high enough for me give it a chance. Both SE and NE aspects skied reasonably well where wind slabs could be avoided. Better than anything I've found in the Tahoe area in the last couple weeks, which isn't saying much at all.
