Quick report

There's the usual road closure at 6400ft. Was able to skin on the road at 8200ft. The trail head parking lot has about 50cm of snow. Skied up to 11k to checkout what the conditions are like. There's about 84cm of snow at 11k. We found all kinds of various snow conditions throughout the day depending on angle and aspect. Northern aspects had faceted snow, solar with a melt-freeze crust, and wind board in exposed areas. The day was cool and partly cloudy. It never warmed up enough to soften solar aspects. The wind picked up in the afternoon with occasional blowing snow and banners forming along ridge lines. Where we skied we found no signs of snow instabilities.
