I toured up Four Seasons and Ghost Trees to get a look at N-NE aspects along the way as well as the top of Dream Bowl. At 12:30pm I probed on a NNE aspect at 10500ft below Dream Peak: HS 125-140cm; Surface consisted of soft F hard wind buff with a shallowly buried 1F wind slab and 4F beneath that. A P hard mid pack was consistent until 15cm of 4F/F facets at the ground. I did not do any tests but saw no instability in regards to our PWLs at this location, though I was conservative in my descent and avoided obvious areas of shallow snowpack. Where the wind slab was at the surface I saw a few cracks isolated to around my ski tracks, and it was that same spot where I triggered a tiny wind slab at the top of the Ghost Trees. The cold overnight temps have kept the northerlies in excellent recrystallized condition all the way down to the bottom of 4 Seasons, however the sun was beginning to impact lower angled terrain and beginnings of a thin crust was starting to develop during my descent at 1pm.
