Objective for today: observe N/S aspects IVO Voodoo Bowl and dig a pit. Temps in the high 20s to low 30s. Overcast with west winds. Partly cloudy with light precipitation before departing at 3pm. Southern aspects wind swept. Pit completed on N aspect @ approximately 9500 ft. Conducted both Compression and Extended Column Test. results CTE2@ 70cm and ECTp12@70cm. Observed Facet ice mix at this layer. Varied results from another pit dug within 20m. Cautious travel while avoiding steep wind-loaded terrain.
