Quick report

Toured from Skeetawk up to 4068 on both 1/20 and 1/21. Isolated wind slabs were found throughout the tour, with more faceted snow around bushes and shrubs. Pole tests on slabs revealed the ever-present layer of facets at the base. No collapsing or cracking was noted during either tour. The fresh snow Monday was covered with a 1/4" breakable rain crust, which was more prominent down at Skeetawk, and less dense as we ascended 4068 but still present. Mostly wind scoured and rime ice/snow at the ridge of 4028. Weather was clear and calm on Monday afternoon.
