Pit dug at 11,250ft on Northerly aspect of "lower core" in wind-loaded 35 deg slope. Did not hit ground with 240cm probe. Dug 120cm pit and got the following: 120--64 cm knife/1f rounds; 64-43 F graupel; 43-2 4f new snow; 2-0 1f wind compacted snow. ECT Results: ECT 14 Q3 @14cm No Propagation (break in new snow). ECT 23 Q3 @ 43cm No Propagation (graupel layer). While skinning across a small steep rollover, one skier experienced a collapse and shooting crack. Crack ran along the uphill side of the skin track approximately 30 feet. No other signs of instability. All sunny slopes were impacted by sun, sometimes to the point of entering a freeze/melt cycle. Widespread wind loading and sublimation was also observed.
