isolated

Traveled from Sonora Pass to the 108 through MWTC training areas. At 12:00 at the top of the pass temp was 25°F, strong winds out of the West transporting a significant amount of snow. Snow depth was 150cm with 30cm loose powder on top and four layers of crust/snow on top of unconsolidated 1mm facets from 100-130cm in depth. Shooting crack propagated on small slope pit was dug on at top of pass (photo). Moving East through the training areas, all N-S oriented terrain was completely scoured of snow on Western aspects and loaded on the Eastern aspects.
