Quick report
Approximately 400m of walking was required from the Brewer Creek trailhead to reach continuous snow. Overnight conditions were cold and clear, providing a solid re-freeze. Strong morning sunlight made skinning difficult on steeper sections above 11.5k, particularly between 10:30-11:00 AM. We encountered multiple parties descending who reported good summit conditions with no concerns. We began skiing from 13k at 1:30 PM. Conditions above 10.5k were surprisingly good—firm snow with no mushiness or signs of wet loose activity. Below 10.5k, extensive sun cupping made skiing extremely laborious and slow, especially on tired legs.
