Snowpack
A week has passed since the last snowfall in our forecast area. Recent warm temperatures, coupled with two inches of rain, have significantly reduced the existing snowpack. We have noted a noticeable decrease in overall snowpack depth, along with the formation of numerous waterfall holes and areas of undermined snow where water flows beneath the snowpack. From history we know that the holes around the Lip area of the Tuckerman Ravine Headwall are particularly deep.
