Entire ridge was wind loaded with cracks running from 7,500 feet and up. Ridge is called Kay's ridge, some call if Fernwood trail, others call it the Community trail. Slide occurred directly west of the Chinscraper bowl 1,000 feet lower. Which is directly west of Layton peak.
