Skied Turkey Chute mid-afternoon within 1-2 hours after at least 1 other party had skied it. It had already been flushed via ski cut (per adjacent observation from Exum). High winds and rapid loading had covered a lot of their tracks already, but no additional slabs were reactive at our feet as we skied it. While waiting skier's right for my partner to ski the last pitch and out the apron, I was hit from above by a D1 soft wind slab that presumably came off of the cliff band a couple hundred feet above me. It had enough momentum that it carried me around 30-50 feet. I stayed on top the whole time and then skied out skier's left as it lost energy. Unfortunately, when it hit me, my left ski (uphill ski for how I was standing) came off and despite our best efforts searching, was not recovered. It is very likely buried in the slope underneath debris plus all of the new loading that continued happening on 3/20 and the subsequent days. If someone happens to find it (a yellow G3 Seekr 100) before I am able to, it would be beyond appreciated if you let the avy center know.
