New snow had settled well and bonded to old surfaces; top ~3 inches easy to fracture but stubborn to move. Sun poking out seems to make things want to move as wet avalanches.

Snowpack

Stiff wind slabs 3-8" deep plastered on old crust; fractured like wind slab but stubborn to move and tough to find anywhere that was a continuous slab big enough to produce greater than a .5, even in areas drifted up to ~a foot. Above 10,500', I imagine you could find a larger dry snow avalanche. Below ~10,000 feet, new snow primarily running as easy-to-trigger wet loose. Overall, "variable" ski conditions with wind stripping off snow to old, bumped-out crust.
