Dug a pit, SE @ 9660 – HS250 ECTN(down)30cm, Pencil hard crust found down 90cm from surface – had a broken failure on it after yarding on the back of the ECT with a shovel. 30cm layer seemed to be a difference in rounded stellars – Hardness changed from 4F to 1F at 30cm. Crusty down low – S/SE 7500 ft
