Brighton Ski Patrol responded to a report of a 20 year old male out of bounds skier who triggered and was caught, carried, and partially buried in a very large avalanche in Hidden Canyon. No injuries. It reportedly broke 30' above the skier. The skier and his party had no avalanche rescue gear. Debris from the avalanche was estimated to be 15' deep in some areas.

This is backcountry terrain adjacent to Brighton Ski Resort and riders are ducking the ropelines and getting into trouble.
