Quick hand pit on a southwest aspect at 9,400' showed a dense layer of graupel snow with medium density snow above. This was similar structure to other aspects and elevations 9,000' to 10,500' on all aspects.

10" of medium density snow on top of graupel. Low angle travel on all aspects had soft turns. We stuck to terrain under 30 ° in steepness.  There was a slight radiation recrystallization crust forming on the surface (photo below) with small facets above the crust. This will be worth watching to see if it lasts and is still on the surface before the next storm.
