Dug in the snow partway up the Argenta headwall to see how the basal facets were doing. There's two distinct layers of facets, each about 25 cm thick at the bottom of ~2 m of snow. The facets were damp enough to make a snowball and starting to round. Forgot my string so didn't do an ECT. The skiing remains excellent.
