Quick report
Both avalanches were visited on Sunday, 3/9. The avalanches occurred on the mid-winter drought layer that formed in January and early February. Slabs were 2 to 3 feet thick. One documented avalanche is a known event with communication with the snowmobiler that triggered the slide. The other avalanche was observed by a group that did not trigger it and prompted a Search and Rescue call. The exact details of the second avalanche are not known.

A snowmobiler triggered, was caught, and managed to ride out of an avalanche in Schaefer Creek, west of Kebler Pass. The avalanche occurred on a northerly facing slope between 10,100ft and 10,600ft. The rider was not injured. A separate avalanche was also snowmobile-triggered and attached to this observation.
