Quick report
Moderate snowfall all day Tuesday and then becoming heavy and steady all night until becoming light around 3 a.m and stopping near 5 a.m. Wind picked up around midnight light to moderate but also stopping near sunrise. Total 24 hour snow was 26" was a whopping 2.09 inches of water and the snowpack sits at 35" deep (SWE 4½"). Currently cloudy with calm to light wind. Temperature dropped to the days low of 17F after a high of 28.
I could hear loose slides run off the straight face area of Gothic, but that is common during and after any period of snow. No visibility to check slopes now but snowfall has been a lot for such a short period of time (about 29" in the past 2 days) and for its density (well over 9% SWE). I am glad i am home and going nowhere (and given how difficult it was to move around just now i may have little choice). billy
