We dug a pit on a NE aspect around 10,800 ft on a slope of ~30 degrees: Snow depth: 95 cm ECTN7 @ 80 cm; this is the density change interface between Fist and 4Finger hardness ECTP16 @ 50 cm; this is the interface between Pencil hard ice crust and Fist hard rounding facets below Prying reveal propagation with easy effort on the 80 cm layer and with hard effort propagation of the entire block at the ground. (See photos for hand hardness profile and pit results Our two aggressive ski cuts produced some surface sluffing and one small "slab" about a meter wide and breaking 15 cm down on the density change between F and 4F hardness snow, likely from the small bit of wind loading. We noticed extensive cracking on this layer wherever the mostly light ridgetop wind had loaded the slope, and one large collapse.

Avalanche
No significant avalanches noted on Coney's, but with the clear day we saw evidence of slides on many of the mountains surrounding us, mostly on SE-NE aspects.
