Quick report
Some clouds and the alpine breeze were moderating surface warming and keeping wet loose instabilities in check above treeline. We saw a few small wet loose run on NE below treeline before we left around 1 p.m. The persistent slab problem was quiet underfoot but produced unstable pit results on a targeted east aspect ATL, and we saw a fresh one that probably ran yesterday on Schuylkill Ridge. We enjoyed good corn skiing in steep, southerly terrain around 12:45, and by then, southeast and east aspects at mid and low elevations were past prime.

Snowpack
Ideal corn on SE aspects NTL at 11:00 a.m., SE aspects ATL around 12:30, S aspects NTL around noon, and southwest aspects BTL around 12:30.
A pit on an east aspect produced moderate propagating results (ECTP18) below a 70 cm, 1F slab on the April 1 faceted crust (1.5mm rounding facets).

Numerous small wet loose avalanches from the past few days on E, S, W aspects. Wet loose activity expanded to NE aspects yesterday and today, mostly BTL with a few tiny ones N/ATL. A couple of recent long running wet loosies on Cinnamon were borderline D2s. A wet loose on Schuylkill Ridge triggered a fresh D1.5 slab. Adding a few previously undocumented old wet slabs from the March Meltdown.
