Quick report
Almost 1’ of HN24 at 4200 feet on Crusbusters. Pit dug on NNE aspect at 4200 feet, just under the last steep climb to the summit of crud. HS310. CT17 @ new snow old/Hamilton snow interface. CT27 & ECTP27 on rounding basal facets directly under the Hamilton snow/3 week long wind layer. ECT results were fast and incredibly clean, it was actually quite alarming and I almost did not continue onto the summit of Crud. Powder fever got the best of me and I summit’d and snowboarded the north face of Crud adjacent to my semi scary pit results. I’m assuming the spatial variability is extreme with pit results these days which is also why I decided to ride the slope.
