Went upto beartrap west and dug a couple pits to investigate the Jan 4th layer. Most of the solars were 7cms of graupel sitting on top of a breakable MF crust
Pit #1: -S facing 9250'
-HS:145 CM
-ECTX
- Jan 4th layer is healing: .5mm moist rounding facets
-Bad news: large dry Facets @45cm to the ground. -Not a SWAG test but I did a "deep ECT" only leaving 30cm of the slab on top of the basal facets and it propagated on two hits from the shoulder. Find a thin spot and trigger the slab
Pit #2: SE 9600'.
-HS:180 CM
-Tested only the top 100cms

- Jan 4th layer was also healing nicely in this pit.
