Noted several recent natural and human-triggered avalanches (see photos). The snowpack at Togwotee remains challenging to read. Though the likelihood of triggering a large avalanche is decreasing, the consequences remain significant. Natural activity was observed yesterday, and even small weather changes (warmer than usual days, small amounts of snowfall with wind) are enough to tip the tables towards more widespread instability here. Even as the hazard rating decreases, it remains extra "spicy" at Togwotee. Weak snow exists at the base of the snowpack from Mt. Leidy to Ditch Creek to the Continental Divide and east side. Practice safe travel here, and check out the snowpack by taking a few minutes to step off your sled before committing to steeper slopes here. If you're easily finding weak snow with any winded new snow on top of it, that terrain is best avoided until things have more time to settle out.
