Boarder cut avalanche

Snowboarder cut triggered avalanche, out of bounds at Powder King. It appears 2 boarders boot-packed up just south of the “kitchen window” then cut across attempting to access un-tracked snow despite “high” hazard rating. The Avalanche slid on a near concrete layer 30-40cm down, with 18cm of fresh snow in the previous 24 hours.
