Christmas Trees Everywhere

Threshold snow depth for skiing- and enough snow for avalanches to be possible, was approx 2000m on SW. The persistent weak layers were easy to find on all aspects right up to ridgecrest, including on windward slopes. Lots of wumpfs and shooting cracks. Easy to Moderate test results. We moved our usual up track to a mellower, longer, route outside of avalanche terrain. ( The usual up track for skiing crosses a couple small but steep slopes that in previous years we have not been concerned about.) We found really good pow skiing on open mellow tree line slopes and kept steep slopes very small and very treed.
