Was snowing heavy for most of the day and difficult to see, temperatures warmed up in the afternoon. We stayed off steep and open slopes. Did one slope cut on the top of the bank of a drainage and triggered a slab avalanche which ran right to the bottom of the drainage. Snow was still touchy on slopes and the rain crust was evident. All things considered it was a good day with taking steps to mitigate overhead hazards, convex slopes, and open slopes.
