Sunny beautiful day. Snow was "punchy" a little hard but softish from the heat midday Completed a snow pit results: - No failed pillar at standard com 30. - Had to wail smash the column to achieve a resistant planar at 65cm -Somewhat consistent snow density throughout snowpack, no obvious persistent layers Slope was NE facing at approx 1600m elevation. Did not have time to venture any higher (semi truck crash shut down hwy 1 for hours this AM).
