Started walking around 9:45am with temps being around 3 degrees. Light north wind. The snow was firm on the approach until around 11:30am and ski crampons were helpful all the way to the boot pack. We stayed clear from warming rocks and gave the cornices a wide berth. The top half of the Kahuna was supportive and firm, ski pen was a few cms which was just enough to make some great turns. The bottom of the Kahuna had sun on it but had not quite softened to corn when we skied it. The snow was wet from the lake down to the road. About 8 degrees back at the car. Observed many old wet slides but did not note anything new in this area.
