Good snow at Chester that got gradually denser as the day went on. Some light sun crust, but easily skied through. Large cornices visible on ridges. We saw evidence of one avalanche that looked to be triggered by a cornice failure.
Ski out was in good shape.
Wet snow was starting to fall as we left at 2PM
On the drive in there was evidence of some very large very wet avalanches coming down in gullies on the other side of the road. They were a few days old, but looked more like spring slides than early season!
