Bonney Moraines

Laurent G. Saulnier, Saturday 10th April, 2021 8:15PM

Great skiing today above 1600m in shaded aspects. No significant recent windslabs noticed. Numerous loose wet naturals SZ 1 or 2 on Ross E face and in the Afton Gulleys in the closed area. 30cm ski penetration trailbraking at the moraines, faceshots and fairly dry powder, but the sun was working hard to warm it up in the afternoon through the overcast. Skier triggered a size 1 loose wet around 1700m on N aspect in the open run from the highest Moraine. The tree skiing below 1600 to exit was quickly deteriorating with thin HST on variable crust. Still some great skiing to be done before we put the boards away for summer!
