Signs of numerous size 1 to 2 storm slab avalanches in steep NE terrain at 1700m appeared to have run naturally during Friday storm. Difficult to see in the photo, most slopes below the cliffs and steep chutes had visible crowns and debris 50 to 100 m down slope, partially covered by new snow. No other signs of instability in mellower terrain. Trail breaking from 1250m to 1550m was difficult in knee deep powder. Snow was dry and un-consolidated in the trees, in open areas Solar greenhouse effect was moistening snow. -4C at 1550 m at 3:00 pm, Saturday. Light and variable wind.
