Quick Observation

Busy day as usual up at Ursus trees in stormy weather. Shooting cracks on the skin track. Multiple natural and skier cut avalanches on steep convex rolls at and below tree line in hospital bowl and Ursus trees. Skied out the Christmas trees skiers left of uptrack gully and observed shooting cracks (up to 10m) and slabs (30cm) that were popping and almost sliding in steep open trees. Reports of easy ski cuts in hospital gullies. Multiple large avalanches heard off Cheops throughout the day. On exit they were observed to be reaching just about to valley bottom. Most of the Cheops paths had all slid by days end. Frequent Flyer slid sometime between 9am and 4pm and covered 100m of skin track and went well into valley bottom. Hourglass and Grizzly had not slid as of 4pm. Overall felt more high than considerable out there today.
