In the Lee of Log Cabin

With wind and snow happening in the White Pass, we spent the day in the low alpine and meadow skipping on the sheltered side of Log Cabin. We tracked over and skied hard slab of many varieties as we sniffed around for the buckle top powder we eventually found. The slab was well bonded and even welded in places. Skiing was fast and fun on sheltered gullies and low alpine bowls on north aspects. Wind was moderate all day at higher elevations and we managed overhead accordingly up high.
