Quick Observation
Fantastic snow quality above 1500m with the new snow. Climbed up to the top of McGill glades on the ridge with several other parties. Steered clear of the large convexity right below the transition spot - for good reason as the storm slab was not bonded well to the old snow below. Saw cracking in storm snow while skiing anything steeper than 30degrees. Not consolidated enough to move in supported terrain but likely would have in unsupported. Cut off pockets of storm slab in gully features and unsupported micro terrain lower down (1700m) that eagerly moved. All in all a great day. Snow quality is survival only between 1225m and 1400m... Get ready to side slip. But the summer trail is quite pleasant.
