Whumpfing & cracking

Headed out in the Black Prince area (what we call the rock garden lookers left of Black Prince peak) and stayed in the treeline at around 2,000-2,100M. Weather was decently warm and cloudy (around -2) with light wind. The snowpack was unsupported with very loose sugary type consistency. Experienced much whumpfing and cracking while breaking a new skin track. Came on to a convex slope and had a massive compression with shooting cracks all above me (see photo)… was big enough that we decided to call it a day.. better safe than sorry.
