Quick report

Although today was windy, we saw no evidence of current wind transport where we went, nor on the surrounding visible terrain features. Cold slopes sheltered from winds held soft, unconsolidated snow and provided excellent riding conditions. Sunny slopes were firm in the morning but softened before noon. We didn't see signs of wet instabilities. Although we rode well into the afternoon when there was a chance of an approaching mini storm, there was no significant cloud buildup to the west.

Snowpack

We found cold unconsolidated snow in N facing trees. Sunny aspects softened by late morning and made for good riding.  Anything close to ridge top was either wind eroded, or firm wind deposits.
