Quick report
Less wind and wind transport observed than expected today, along the typically wind exposed Frog Lake Ridge. New snow was very light and unconsolidated until I got to Elephants Back proper, where it became more slab-like, but not far downslope it became soft and unconsolidated again. Snow surfaces remained cold until my late morning departure, but the few times the sun broke through the clouds it felt strong and spring-like.
Wind sheltered test slopes produced shallow dry loose results. Wind loaded test slopes cracked minimally. One very small natural wind slab was observed on Elephants Back, and two other small angular crowns that may have been olderWeather
