Quick report
- Cracking
- widespread
Cracking at the interface between lighter snow from Sunday and heavier snow from today while breaking the skin track. While the wind/storm slabs were small and manageable today, with additional high density snow or more cohesion in the upper snowpack I can easily see these stepping down to the rain crust below Sunday's snow or even into older weak layers which are still present in our low confidence inducing multiple rain crust/facet layer snowpack.
Avalanche
Triggered two wind/storm slabs during descent. Approx. 50-75 feet wide 4-6 inch crown. Neither ran very fast or far or stepped down into older layers.
