Shin to knee deep sierra cement, 33F at the highway at 9am, snow accumulating at 1-2cm/hr. Possible muffled whumpfs heard below 8500' which sounded different from the Echo Pass GazEx but not 100% certain they were from snowpack collapse. No cracks or subsidence seen as a direct result. Shooting cracks observed while breaking trail in new snow 5-10' long, 6-18" deep, more common in steeper and more exposed terrain.
Avalanche
Small storm slab released naturally from a steep rock face. Crown 3-6" deep, 15-20' wide.
