Skied up to onto the French Glacier - turned around in full whiteout conditions in constant low intensity snowfall. On descent, triggered several storm slab size 1 avalanches, through ski cuts, on a short uptrack section and remotely in several places. Lots of snow, but poorly bonding to the existing base.
Saw a size 2 slide down the path of the ice climb Coffee Suckin' Do Nothings on Mount Burstall in the French Creek drainage. Slide appeared to be triggered by a storm snow sluff off an upper cliff band, triggering storm slabs lower down.
Observation taken at turnaround point on the French Glacier.
