Traveled around Malachite, Copper, and Little Heart areas on 3/8, 3/9, 3/10. Got on mostly East and NE terrain, between 4-6k elevation. 3/9 was a mostly sunny day, no precip until around 17:00. Polar aspects held dry snow throughout day. East aspects got moist. Snowed 6” at 4k on night of 3/9. 3/10 was mostly sunny in the morning, clouds increasing by 12:00, overcast by 14:00. 3/10 morning: observed a D1-D2 natural wind slab on East aspect above malachite lake and a D1-D2 natural slab avalanche on East aspect above Big Heart Lake (see photo). While moving uphill, we remotely triggered two D1 slab avalanches from below, one of which sympathetically released another D1 on adjacent terrain (see photos- remote in blue, sympathetic in green). Just the new 6-8” slid. We did not hear or feel anything collapse when these released. All three were triggered within 10 minutes of each other on an East aspect at 5600’. We stomped around on some test slopes in adjacent terrain and found no other signs of instability, besides some localized cracking. We continued to travel and ride in rolling terrain with some smaller steep sections and found no other slab activity. In surrounding terrain, other East aspects had point releases below rocky terrain, but no other slab activity observed.
