Quick report
Stability seemed very mediocre on higher aspect profiles. Snow on the ridge we skied was mostly powdery, often with a wind blown crust on top. Overall snow conditions were solid for slopes with an angle of 35 and below. No new snow was observed.
Avalanche
Avalanche appeared to be natural and covered a 10-15 foot area at the crown. It only slid about 30-40 feet. It was an East facing leeward slope that was around 35-40 degrees on the climbers left side of white river canyon, around approximately 5900”. No one was caught. My party did not observe the avalanche being triggered, but a snowshoeing party of two who had warned us slightly before, did see it occur.
