Quick report
A sunny but cool day. Some afternoon fair weather cumulus. No recent new snow. We had nice ski runs on refrozen surface snow from Bryant Col down to Melakwa Lake and Melakwa Pass down to Chair Peak Lake. But other aspects were mostly wet snow with ski penetration 4-8 inches even in avalanche debris on south facing slopes skiing down to Snow Lake and to Source Lake. There was widespread previous wet snow avalanche debris seen and the D4 (?) debris pile at Source Lake is impressive. The only new avalanches were a few D1.5 I was able to trigger on steep south facing rollovers skiing down to Source Lake. I would say the spring consolidation cycle is still a work in progress in this area.
