Quick report
Climbing up to McCully Basin, we noted surface hoar growth in the valley bottoms. There was 1 meter of snowdepth at the McCully Yurt. Snowdepths between 7-8,000' was 150 cm to 210. We saw evidence of previous wind loading, and avoided wind-loaded features. We conducted snowpack tests in a pit at 8500' on a NE aspect. The 1/3 interface was found 35 cm down from the surface. There was a layer of large (4-6 mm) graupel at the 12/26 interface. We did get a failure on this layer, but it did not propagate in our ECT. The 12/18 crust was 135 cm down and we did not find an alarming amount of facets below this crust.
