Quick report
Some poor decisions led to our party entering Martha’s at Artist Point. I made four cautious jump turns, mostly probing for rocks rather than slabs. On my fifth turn, the whole slop cut and ran out from under my skis. Luckily I was not carried. Upon reflection, there were warning signs and forecasts we overlooked. At the entrance to the line, rime plastered the exposed rocks. Wind evidence was present on trees and snow surfaces as well. We did not experience or identify any instability in the field beforehand. No noted cracks/whumphfs. No significant results from our hasty pit.
