5800’ ESE aspect near Green Apple creek Broken skies, light wind. Nice light, good skiing on a shallow but right side up snowpack. Height of snow 52 cm. From the ground, 15 cm thick pencil hard crust overlaid by 20 cm one finger hard snow, overlaid by 12 cm four finger hard snow, overlaid by half-centimeter breakable crust, overlaid by 7 cm fist hard storm snow. ECTN. Shovel-shear medium to hard atop the lower crust. CT12, 3 cm below the upper breakable crust on a less obvious density break within the older four finger hard snow There does not appear to be any weakness within the 15 cm thick crust at the base.
